As our Accountant (all genders) in the Accounts Payable department in Berlin or Cologne, you play a central role in our Finance Team and actively shape our processes. Your work has an immediate impact on our relationships with our sports partners, as you manage the payouts to our sports partners and ensure that they are made on time and in the correct amount.

Your responsibilities
- Be responsible for accurately recording sports-related expenses for all our companies both domestically and internationally, and you ensure that everything runs smoothly
- Take on the timely creation of payment runs, thus contributing to an appreciative relationship with our sports partners
- Regularly reconcile the open items list to ensure clarity and accuracy in our balance sheet
- Record invoice deferral items and provisions to lay the foundation for sound financial decisions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Expertly respond to internal and external inquiries, helping to make our financial processes transparent and smooth
- Identify potential for optimization and develop solutions
What you need to succeed
- You communicate clearly and convincingly in German
- You have a commercial vocational training, preferably with additional qualifications as a (financial) accountant
- Ideally, you have gained at least 2 years of experience in accounting
- You have basic knowledge of commercial and value-added tax law and can apply them confidently
- You have knowledge of Datev and/or at least one other accounting system as well as MS Office applications, especially excellent MS Excel skills
- You enjoy speaking with your international colleagues in English
